El Toro Staff
Melina Guerrero serves as the Editor in Chief for the El Toro Newspaper and Vice President of MSA. Melina is very active on and off campus and is planning on starting a Hispanic Heritage Club here at LM.
Isabel Urquiza is a senior at LMHS and is very involved in and out of school. She is a member of many clubs such as CSF, NHS, MSA, MUN, and many more. She enjoys playing with her dogs, hanging out with friends, and going to the beach. Isabel plans to attend a competitive college and become a registered nurse in the future.
David Ramirez is an active young leader on the La Mirada High School campus as well as in his community. In his free time, David enjoys coaching his youth football team and playing fantasy football. For the past two years David has worked at Jersey Mike’s Subs in La Habra.
Vanessa Araiza is a senior at La Mirada who enjoys reading, painting, and traveling. After graduation she hopes to study law enforcement and serve her community. Outside of school you can find Vanessa attending Dragcon, watching RuPaul’s Drag Race, and making salsa.
Lexy Clark is a junior at La Mirada High. She loves to read and write as well as listen to music. Lexy is involved in interact club and is also on the track and soccer teams. Lexy hopes to make it through junior year with good grades and great memories.
Zindy Contreras is contributing to El Toro Newspaper and involving herself in a number of clubs for her senior year. She plans on improving her writing, participating in more school activities, and attending a JC in the fall of next year. Outside of the realm of school, she’s most likely going to live music events, spending time with her cat, or napping.
Victoria Espinoza is involved in the matador scholar academy and volunteering at St Jude's Hospital in Fullerton. She plans on going to a four year university and into the medical field.
Noe Garcia is a senior at La Mirada High School, he plans to become a lawyer and enjoys writing. Noe is a very argumentative and interested in literature and politics. Noe hopes to improve his writing and rhetoric through the school paper.
This is Kady Lazarte email address, here's my bio: Kady lazarte is a senior at LMHS. She loves volunteering and is involved in many clubs such as interact club as Vice President, Link Crew, and MSA. Besides volunteering, she enjoys going to Disneyland with her friends and collecting Disney pins when she has the chance. She plans to major in biology.
Rosalee Padilla is starting her junior year at lmhs. She is involved in MSA, waterpolo, swimming, and the newspaper. Her dream is to be accepted into Northwestern University and to major in journalism. Her hobbies include writing short stories, watching Netflix, and taking care of her little brother. She is sixteen years old and her birthday is March 17, St. Patrick’s Day.
Maya Martinez is a junior and is involved in school activities including the Matador Scholar Academy. Her hobbies are playing softball, watching netflix, and hanging out with her friends. Her goal is to be committed to a Division 1 college to play softball by the end of the school year.
As a junior at La Mirada High School, Luke Morse is involved in many things in and outside of academics. He is currently enrolled in 4 different AP classes and is a member of the El Toro Newspaper staff. In his free time he enjoys being with his friends and listening to music.
Abigail Sanchez is a junior and goes to Cerritos College in the afternoon. In her free time, she writes her book, reads, and volunteers at her church. She also has a love-hate relationship with her little sister. Abigail's goal this year is to pass all her classes with a B or higher.
Dominic Sanchez is a Junior who is involved in activities on campus. Dominic, who goes by Dom, plays baseball for the high school and spends his off time at UFC gym, eating, sleeping, playing video games, or watching Netflix. Dom also enjoys going out with his friends, especially to get food such as Canes.
Delilah Sandoval is a senior who plans on attending a competitive college next fall. She's a confirmed ghost story and horror film addict. Outside of school, you can find her at an art museum, Disneyland, a local rock show, or volunteering! Lover of movies, music, space, the '80s, and writing.
Allison Staples is a junior who is involved in MSA, plays on the girls’ varsity volleyball team, and serves as secretary general in Model United Nations. Allison has spent the last two summers interning for Assemblyman Ian Calderon’s office. She looks forward to the end of the school year and summer.
Belen Zaragoza is a junior and is involved in many school activities including the Matador Scholar Academy and the school newspaper. Her hobbies include babysitting, watching Netflix, and hanging out with friends. Her goal for the upcoming school year is to improve on her writing and challenge herself in her classes.
