Local Continuity Plan Stakeholder Survey

Dear NLMUSD Community,

The state of California has enacted new procedures to support stakeholder engagement in response to COVID-19. Previously, we had the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Instead of the LCAP this year, the state has required all districts to develop a Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP). The plan development guidelines include valuable collaboration with our stakeholders. The consultation and feedback from our entire school community is essential, and we have developed this survey to obtain your feedback.

Thank you in advance for your support as we address the challenges facing our school community together. This survey will help us improve as we continue to develop our plan for the 20-21 school year and will only take about 5 minutes to complete.

Please complete this survey by September 1, 2020. Thank you.

Rosa Isiah, Ed.D.
Director, Elementary Education, Equity and Access

Back to School Night General Session Video- August 26th!!!

Dear La Mirada Families,
It is with great sadness that I send this message. As an administration, we worked very hard to set up our Back to School Night Event. We had our Zoom settings correct to prevent guests from causing an interruption to our event. Sadly, they were able to still interrupt. I am so sorry you were subjected to such vulgar profanity, racists remarks and ugliness. We were equally offended by these remarks. We have sent the recording and attendance to our IT department to investigate. I appreciate the emails of support I have received from parents. This is a great community and we want to make learning a positive experience. We will continue to work with our IT department to assure our students are not exposed to these inappropriate behaviors. Schoology provides a layer of protection from outside interruptions like we experienced this evening. I hope you were able to enjoy the rest of your evening. We did record the General Session again and have posted it here on our website and in Schoology.

With a heavy heart,

Lisa Reed
